Declutter duvets - simplify your bedroom and enjoy a clutter free bedroom by decluttering all those duvets you truly don't need #decluttering #bedroom #simple #clutterfree

It IS official.

Duvets take up room.

Lots of it.

EVEN if you try and squeeze every last bit of air out of them.

In those clever bags.

That work for a bit.

Then mysteriously inflate.

So if we ARE storing duvets.

Anywhere.

Except on a bed.

There needs to be an unbelievably good reason for keeping them.

If there’s NOT.

Letting them go will actually free up LOADS of  lovely space quickly.

So today we are going to declutter our duvets.

AND whilst we’re at it, unloved duvet covers …

If you’re following along with my quick daily declutter, read on. BUT if you’re new do hop back and read how just 10 things can help you declutter easily.

Just 10 Things  – Duvets

As always we’ll stick to the just 10 things rules:

  • Take 5 minutes or so, 15 minutes max … to be honest, most of us need 15 minutes for this because they’re a pain to pull out
  • Focus on our duvets
  • Open our eyes to the unused
  • And without yanking stuff out  too much
  • Spot any we’re ready to let go

Keeping our eyes peeled for all the different types of duvets we have PLUS their associated paraphernalia including …

  1. Winter duvets
  2. Summer duvets
  3. Kids duvets
  4. Single duvets
  5. Double duvets
  6. Kids covers
  7. Single covers
  8. Double covers
  9. Duvet protectors
  10. Baby sleeping bags

Let go of anything you can quickly.

And remember we do NOT have to store things for every single possible eventuality.

With a medium and light weight duvet for each bed that can double up as heavy weight in winter, we’re good.

IF we do have a house full of guests, we can make do.

It IS OK.

To asks guests to bring something for the baby.

Or the kids. Or a spare duvet cover.

Because remember.

Barely, rarely used duvets gobble our space.

And that space is precious for us.

AND actually helps us sleep.
