Don’t you just hate it?
When you’re in the shower.
And there’s NO clean towel.
Because everyone else – never you – has left them draped round the house soggy and festering.
And that’s why we all need so many towels.
BUT this is the totally weird thing.
The less towels we have.
The MORE likely they are to stay in the bathroom.
The MORE likely they are to get hung up.
So today we’re hitting the bathroom.
And we’re going to create oodles of lovely space by letting some of our excess towels go …

Just 10 Things – Bathroom Towels
As always we’ll stick to the just 10 things rules:
- Take 5 minutes or so, 15 minutes max
- Focus on bathroom towels
- Open our eyes to just how many we have per person
- And without yanking the whole lot on to the floor ease out those you won’t miss
- Spot any we’re ready to let go
Keep your eyes peeled for any that are:
- Threadbare, frayed, stained
- Not a useful size
- Not a good colour for your bathroom
- Gimicky
- Multiples
And see how many of these you are ready to let go …
- Bath towels
- Hand towels
- Face cloths
- Bath mats
- Beach towels
- Swimming towels
- Children’s towels
- Bath robes
- Non slip mats
- Loofahs & body brushes
Unfortunately, most charity shops won’t take them.
But if they’re in OK condition, refuges and homeless charities do.
And you can also offer on Facebook or Craigslist for students and new families.
Otherwise take them to your local textile recycling.
